Charter and Guide Service;

Welcome to Club Ankle-Deep the Saltwater inshore and Flats Fishing Guide Service Featuring Sea Trout, Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, inshore Mangrove Snapper and Flounder Gigging.

My name is Greg Hall and have fished all my life from Michigan to the Tortuga's and lived the saltwater now for over 20 years. I am blessed to be able to fish the pristine waters here in Florida and frequent the backwater of Tampa area at, Cockroach, Bishop, Joe, Miguel, Tera Ceia, Palmasola and Sarasota Bays.

We fish for just about everything that swims in our flats and the surrounding inshore habitats. The Trout bite since the net ban has been improving every year and I'm happy to see the sizes improving.

Most of the Photos on this site are from my daily charters but I welcome any photos you might want to feature on this site. My Partner Capt Vince Berry and I document your entire fishing experience with Digital photos and Video allowing your friends to view your trip with us.

What we offer...

Half day Morning Trips begin at 7:00 Am in the Summer or 8:00 AM in the Winter Months and end at 12:00. Evening charters begin at 4:00PM in the Summer and 3:00 PM in the Winter. Trout, Snook, and Redfish are the Main Target Species for 1/2 day trips to local Spots. 

Full Day Trips Begin End at 7:00 AM in the Summer and 8:00AM in the Winter. And can include an optional Shore Lunch of your morning catch if Requested. Check the Schedule for availability and information on this.

Night Trips for Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Tarpon, or Flounder Gigging are offered on the Calendar Schedule at special Times. Look for upcoming seasonal slots.

As you can see in the photo section the Mangrove bite from June through October has been hot with most of the fish over 3 Pounds with many 5 to 7 Pound fish boated.

Tournaments; 

We are building the membership, with the vision of holding many Club fishing Contests. Watch for upcoming tournament events under the tournament menu to the left.

Members can upload photos and fish charters offered on this site for Trout, Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, and night time Flounder Trips. Just click on the Schedule qt the top to book your Trip with us or to Fish in one of our Tournaments.

Refer new members to the club and participate in the forum to show your interest in fishing events. Also doing so will earn membership points that will soon bear gifts and rewards to be announced here.

Club Membership is Free and members will will have full access to the Gallery, Forum, Fishing reports, voting booths, Personal Fishing Journal, Tournaments, Trade stories, make new fishing buddies and much more.

Check the Tournament Schedule and Register your group for an event. You can request Tournament species anytime as a member simply by requesting it in the Forum or sending me an e-mail at

Fish with Ruler Fish with Angler
1.	Pick your Event	You may compete in any of the current tournaments. You may fish any or all days during the time on the display's and all event fee's are $20.00
2.	Fill out your fishing Permit	You will need a fishing Permit to include in your Fish with Ruler Photo, and must be filled out with the required Information and printed for the Tournament.

4.	Photo your Catch	The Tournament Standings will show the top places as you turn in your catch - sizes will be verified and displayed in the Leader board daily.
